Gems

In Gems, I explore the tension between allure and absence, surface and depth. I am drawn to the ways the familiar can shift into revelation when looked at differently.

These images are not meant for passive viewing. They ask for engagement with the instability between surface beauty and what lies beneath.

Through light, texture, and composition, I try to unsettle fixed ideas of value and significance, revealing how arbitrary these hierarchies often are.

For me, the series is about making the overlooked feel indispensable, and the familiar strange again. It resists comfort or sentiment, seeking instead to open a space for reflection and questioning.
